In 1999 the founder of the Lockport Township High School Foundation, Dick Stringham, in addition with the Board of Education of LTHS District 205 made an important decision. After long discussions and serious deliberation, they concluded that establishing an educational foundation was the logical step forward for the district.

The Board determined that a foundation board is essential for maximizing the available resources in our community. Through this vehicle, we can help the students of an already outstanding school district to attain the next level of success by providing funding beyond the school districts’ budget.

Since its inception, the LTHS Foundation has awarded scholarships to over a million dollars in scholarships to LTHS students. In 2020 alone the foundation was able to give out 40 scholarships in the amount of $54,500. This is an effective means for benefactors to help the LTHS community and its students, faculty, and staff. Through this vehicle, we can help build a better future for LTHS and the community.
